Hold regular check ins, invite them to events and practices to watch, and make an effort to make them feel welcomed and included.
People are more likely to stick around if they make friends and like your band's culture. Be as inclusive as possible and try to get your learners excited about progressing to join the band - pass on your love of piping to the next generation.
