Set up a PayPal account

Due to the large numbers of partners the Dojo has, we made the decision long ago to only pay our partners via PayPal. It's the most universal payments platform, and it's easy to send money digitally back and forth.

Before you continue, you'll need a PayPal account that's directly associated with your band.

If your band already has one, great! Locate the email address associated with your account and write it down - this will be the address we "beam" money to at the end of each month.

If you don't yet have a PayPal account:

  1. Visit the PayPal website: Go to the PayPal website (www.paypal.com) and click on the "Sign Up" button.
  2. Choose an account type: Select the account type that matches your non-profit organization's needs. PayPal offers both personal and business accounts. For a non-profit, it's best to choose a business account.
  3. Fill in the required information: Provide the necessary information to create your PayPal account. This includes your organization's name, address, email address, and other relevant details.
  4. Link your bank account: Once your PayPal account is set up, you can connect it to your non-profit organization's bank account. To do this, you'll need your bank account number and routing number. PayPal will guide you through the process, and you may need to verify your bank account by confirming small deposits made by PayPal.
  5. Start receiving money: Once your PayPal account is set up and linked to your bank account, you're ready to start receiving payments from us. We'll use your PayPal address stored on file to issue payments.
